Speaking, eating, laughing, and smiling are activities you should be able to enjoy every day without anxiety or discomfort. Unfortunately, severely decayed or missing teeth can make even the most common activities a challenge. If many of your teeth are damaged or have fallen out, full arch dental implants are a solution that can bring back your smile and enable you to live a normal life once again—often in a single visit to our Bluffton, SC office.
With full arch dental implants, our highly skilled team, led by a dental implant specialist who has placed or restored more than 10,000 implants in a career spanning more than three decades, can place just four to six implants in your jawbone—instead of one for each tooth—and top them off with an appliance that looks, feels, and functions like a natural row of teeth. Fewer implants means less drilling, making for a shorter visit and keeping your jawbone as close to its natural state as possible. Our team is guided by technology that facilitates precise placement of your implants, including a low-radiation CT scan machine that gives us a detailed picture of your mouth, allowing us to customize your implants for a comfortable fit. You’ll leave our office the same day with a complete arch of permanent top or bottom teeth!
Experience the difference our years of experience, advanced technology, and holistic approach can make to your overall health and happiness!
Full arch dental implants start with a consultation where we determine the current state of your teeth and identify any other procedures that may be necessary to accommodate your new teeth. These include tooth extractions to remove teeth that are compromising your facial aesthetics and function and cannot be repaired. If you’ve suffered extensive bone loss in your jawbone, you may need to undergo bone grafting in order to build up the bone so that it can support your full arch dental implants. This involves taking a small portion of bone from your own body and placing it in the area of the decayed bone. Eventually the grafted bone will fuse with your jawbone and become a natural part of your body through a biological process called osseointegration. Once healing is complete, you will be able to receive your full arch dental implants.
During your consultation we’ll also discuss the sedation options available to put you at ease and minimize discomfort during your procedure. Oral sedation is our preferred method, because it allows our team to converse with you during the procedure but will leave you with no memory of having undergone it. Lastly, your consultation with give you a chance to see the extra touches we offer—our office is more like a spa, with the amenities to match. Your total comfort is top priority.
While there are a number of ways to replace your decayed or missing teeth, including dentures, none are as realistic or as reliable as dental implants. With full arch dental implants, you enjoy added convenience and other benefits.
Our unrivaled team consists of an array of highly skilled dental specialists under one roof—each a “physician of the mouth” concerned with the impact that your oral health has on your overall health and dedicated to strengthening both.
